No really Hermione you’re way better than him

Well actually Harry produced a powerful patronus at only 13 years old, cheated death twice, and destroyed the most terrible dark wizard that ever terrorized anyone ever.

yeah but hermione punched draco in the face

yeah but harry nearly disemboweled him.

i don’t know that he should get credit for doing something by accident.

by that measure, harry’s basically never done anything of note

his every fucking triumph was a total accident, including but limited to defeating voldemort. twice. 

GOD HARRY YOURE SO USELESS

Even his patronus was emotionally charged, which makes every wizard, every living creature for that matter, more powerful. Whereas Hermione makes a Polyjuice Potion at age TWELVE, something adults cannot easily do.

She is the most skilled, and quite arguably the bravest of the three. Not only are her skills seen as annoying, she is seen as undeserving of her powers and her place in Hogwarts and the magical community because of her Muggle parentage. That is not easy to endure. The Slytherins might have been blatant about their hatred, but bigotry like that does not belong to only one house or only purebloods. Make no mistake, Harry and Ron would be dead if it werent for her in EVERY. SINGLE. BOOK. Dumbledore’s Army was Hermione’s idea, and many of her schoolmates survived the battle because of this training. And lets not forget her coins. She modified magic created by Lord Voldemort with nothing more than superficial knowledge of the effects of the charm. If you can’t understand how FUCKING AMAZING that is I really don’t know what to say to you.

Hermione’s actions and magic and constant successes are deliberate, the result of her hard work, moral resolve (make no mistake, she is an excellent candidate for slytherin and could very easily have become a powerful dark witch - a fanfic I am waiting for someone to write, btw), determination and sheer genius. Harry has every fucking thing handed to him. The broomstick, his place on the quidditch team, the philosophers stone, dumbledore’s constant bailing out, shit even his survival was handed to him by his mother’s sacrifice. 

Harry is the epitome of “reluctant hero”, given all kinds of gifts and abilities and allies to make him achieve the quests he’d (for the most part) rather not begin. Hermione takes initiative and fucking CARES. Enough said.  

This whole fucking series should have been about Hermione Granger, the real hero. To be honest if the whole thing was rewritten with her as the hero, or even just from her pov I’d read it. 

Also Ron is dumb and full of insecurities and misogynistic and a coward, but even I don’t blame him for resenting Harry. 

And I was SUPER unsatisfied by her ending. HG does not deserve a butt like Ron, in fact I was hoping she became an Auror or the Minister(ess?) for Magic or just a bounty hunter even (another fic I’m waiting for). 

Note: I am not saying being in slytherin means you’ll be evil. I meant that she has qualities that befit a slytherin. And that hermione as a whole is capable of going dark or ambiguous and probably would have if not for her strong sense of justice. 

Also did anyone else read more into her SPEW campaign than just “bleeding heart”? Because I believe that it stems from the way she is treated for her Mudblood status. Because she’s seen the same dirty looks thrown at her.
